About

Jessica Scala

Registered Psychologist

I adopt an open, warm and compassionate approach. I am dedicated to helping people process and grow from challenging life experiences and overcome personal barriers by nurturing self-understanding and compassion. I believe in the importance of creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship within a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space. Underpinning my approach is a passion for enhancing psychological knowledge to support sustained skill development, personal insight, and lifelong well-being. I believe that every person is an individual and brings to their therapy a range of experiences and skills that are unique and important to recognise and utilise in therapy. I will support you to develop meaning and understanding of your struggles and work with you to problem solve and identify a way forward.

With experience working in both the not-for-profit and private sectors in mental health and disability, I have knowledge and experience working with clients from a broad range of backgrounds, cultures, and presenting concerns. Additionally, I have a background working with Hunter New England Health and also currently provide Employee assistance programs (EAP) to various organisations across Australia.
